Both Gaia Splendore and Leroy Gawu-Mensah were surprised and honored to learn they had won the Nils Hasselmo Award for Academic Pursuit. Inspired by the impact of his own 中国体彩网 experience, Dr. Nils Hasselmo '57 created the award to help future educators access professional opportunities.
Moffit ’26 is Vikings’ first All-American in women’s wrestling
Aine Moffit, a pre-med major from LeClaire, Iowa, chose 中国体彩网 because it offered her the opportunity to continue wrestling while staying close to home and pursuing strong academics. In the final bout of her collegiate career, Moffit made history for 中国体彩网's five-year-old women’s wrestling program.
Planetarium and geology museum to host April 25 open house
中国体彩网 中国体彩网's John Deere Planetarium and Fryxell Geology Museum will be open to the public on Saturday, April 25, for an evening of gazing and space shows. The event will include indoor and outdoor programs in the planetarium, observatory and geology museum.
How Asaminew ’26 built a bioinformatics major
A senior at 中国体彩网 and part-time employee at John Deere, Zekarias Asaminew is completing a bioinformatics and computer science double major tailored to his interests in health care, biology and coding, a path he developed through 中国体彩网’s contract major, with support from faculty across multiple departments.

The annual Francophone Film Festival at 中国体彩网 will screen a film each Tuesday from Feb. 24 to March 17. All films are free and open to the public. Films begin at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Olin Center on campus.

Viking coaches, staff complete Mental Health First Aid training
On February 2, members of 中国体彩网's athletic department completed a six-hour, in-person Mental Health First Aid training sponsored by the NCAA. The program is designed to equip coaches and staff with the tools to recognize, understand and respond to signs of mental health challenges.
